This wine is inspired by Champagne Supernova by Oasis and is a reflection of a life lived chasing something more. It’s shaped by moments in Canada, across Europe, and through my university years, times of freedom, risk, and living fully in the present.
I was never drawn to the ordinary. I chose experience, intensity, and the unknown over comfort. This is for those who feel the same pull: to live deeply, to chase the feeling, and to embrace the chaos and beauty of it all.
Winemaker notes: This 2025 Riverland Grenache marks the first red release from Midnight Sounds. It takes an unconventional approach to the variety, sitting outside the typical varietal expectations for Grenache. Best served chilled, it shows a lifted, bright palate with a slight edge to the finish that is softened by cooler serving temperature. Rather than aiming for traditional richness or structure, this is a more energetic, boundary-pushing expression, designed to be experienced a little differently.
Tasting notes: The nose on this Grenache displays lifted red fruit aromas with subtle herbaceous notes. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with the herbal character carrying through alongside a gentle, well-integrated spice on the finish. This wine is a beautiful partner for Mediterranean cuisine, where vibrant herbs and generous, rustic flavours take centre stage. It works wonderfully with Greek inspired lamb seasoned with oregano and mint, as well as vine leaves filled with fragrant rice and spices. It also has a surprising affinity for lemon cheesecake, where its freshness cuts through the creaminess and leaves a clean, citrus lifted finish.
Please note due to minimal intervention there may be little tartate crystal (wine diamonds) once the wine is chilled. These are completely harmless.
